– There was a lot of tension between Jacek Siewiera and Andrzej Duda. Jacek was doing his own politics, he wanted to be a candidate for president. He believed in himself too much – says a former associate of Andrzej Duda.

According to our interlocutors, former head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, was asked by the president to leave the palace.

– Andrzej Duda received information that Jacek wanted to be a candidate for president. First, that he was seeking a meeting with Jarosław Kaczyński on this matter, then that he had started talking to PSL about his candidacy – says a former associate of the president.

He adds that the president is known for taking a long time to think about his decisions.
